Mission Statement
The goals of this Association and its chapters are: to promote a scholarly interest in the civil law; to establish regular, personal contacts among those members of the same legal heritage; to participate in the yearly Journées of the Association Henri Capitant, at which various issues of law are studied, in particular questions of private law, commercial law and international law; to promote and encourage business and cultural relationships between all nations. The Louisiana chapter of the Association organizes and/or participates in conferences, meetings, and congrès, and engages in other activities such as scholarly writings in the form of books, articles and translations.
